We do this work by volunteering, engaging, mobilizing and supporting our community, to ensure we all have the means to make our world an amazing place.

(kalyug mein kirtan pardhana) – Kirtan is the singing of ancient Vedic mantras, spiritually uplifting songs, prayers and the Sacred Names of the Supreme.

Who are Sikh? What is Sikhism?

The Sikh religion was founded in Northern India in the fifteen century by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and is distinct from islam and Hinduism. Sikhism is monotheistic and stresses the equality of all men and women. Sikhs believe in three basic principles; meditating on the name of God (praying), earning a living by honest means as well as sharing the fruits of the one’s labor with others. Sikhism rejects caste and class systems and emphasises service to humanity.

Why Pooranmashi?

Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji the founder and first Guru of Sikhism, was born on Pooranmashi of Kattak in 1469, in Rai-Bhoi-di Talwandi in the Punjab region, now known as Nankana Sahib.

According to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji was born on the Full Moon (Pooranmashi), So we have celebrating pooranmashi every month.
