Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji was the sixth Sikh Guru and is known for his contributions to the Sikh religion, particularly in the areas of military leadership and political activism. He was born on June 19, 1595, in the village of Wadali, near Amritsar, Punjab. He succeeded his father, Guru Arjan Dev Ji, as the leader of the Sikh community in 1606.
Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji is known for his creation of the concept of Miri-Piri, which represents the integration of spiritual and temporal power. He believed that Sikhs should not only be concerned with spiritual enlightenment but also with social and political issues.
